I first heard this in season 1 of Luke Cage and immediately loved it.
Reverse Crystal // Murder of a Spider – YAMANTAKA // SONIC TITAN
This song is great for playing at top volume, especially the Band Camp version which doesn’t have super annoying blasts of white noise, like on Spotify. (I only just now discovered that! And it reminds me I should pay these people money.)
A local band with a really interesting style.

TANK! (Live) – The Seatbelts
A kick-ass new live version of the best song from the best TV soundtrack in history? I’m in tears. So good.
Modeselektor – Kalif Storch
When you’re in Berlin and you can’t decide whether to make a Dark Techno or House Track. Or what to name the damn thing. And it all turns out well.
Procession Of The Dead Clowns – Blut Aus Nord
Time for some black metal! Come for the hilarious name, stay for the crushing sense of doom and horror, and the amazing guitar tone. This would make a great soundtrack to something I don’t want to look at.

II – FRIGS
This is a great song for singing along to, especially in meetings.
Wupatki – Senri Kawaguchi Triangle
Senri Kawaguchi is a phenomenal drummer.
A-Mazing Post Pounding – Yoshi’s Woolly World OST
What’s that? Some song from a Nintendo game? Yes! Listen to it with headphones on, it’s amazing.
Bus Stop – Deodato
I’m going to post my favorite Deodato track (S.O.S. – Fire In The Sky) later, but in the meantime have this:
My favorite Snow Tha Product tracks
I couldn’t come up with one particular track by Snow Tha Product I liked more than others, so I made a playlist. She’s one of the best rappers I’ve heard in a long time. Her topics are not super original (although her bisexual Mexican-American perspective is), but her skills are amazing and before you know it she will say some phrase like “the type that makes local strippers to do too much for crumpled ones” and you have to go back to figure out how she possibly made that fit the rhythm perfectly. And she raps in Spanish, too.
I used to play this in the office a lot. It’s nice music to work by, and juuust safe for work enough you can play it on a second monitor without getting HR complaints. But only just.
